When our podcast changed its name, we transcribed 22 episodes with KBLab's Swedish Whisper model on our own GPU. We found 148 places where the old name was mentioned, with time and speaker. The audio never left the computer.
Transcription is a clear example of AI that can run locally. It suits meetings, interviews and conversations with sensitive content, where you do not want to send the audio to a service outside your control.
